PTFE Colored Tube: Unique Characteristics

High Temperature Resistance
Resists heat better than any other plastic. Sustains temperatures up to 260°C — ideal for fluid transfer at very high temperatures and insulating metal parts in automotive.
Low Temperature Resistance
Withstands extreme cold down to -260°C without breaking or hardening — suitable for food, biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
Dielectric Strength
Resists electrical voltage of 50–120 kilovolts per mm. Widely used in the electrical industry for insulation of cables.
Lowest Coefficient of Friction
Coefficient of friction rests at 0.1 — nearly identical for static and dynamic. Used in tubes, rods and sheets across medicine and many other fields.
Strong Wear Resistance
Smooth, greasy surface with static friction coefficient of 0.8 at 500 psi load — provides natural lubricity, increasing wear resistance for rollers, gears, seals and bearings.
Lightweight
PTFE tubes are extremely lightweight, giving them a significant use in the automobile industry.
Shock Absorption & Impact Resistance
Allows shock absorption and provides high impact resistance — helps resist the impact of shields and glazing.
Anti-bacterial
Most suited for the Pharma industry due to its non-stick and anti-bacterial properties.
Strong Chemical Resistance
Resistant to all kinds of corrosion with excellent water repulsion. Highly chemically inert even under high pressure and temperature.
