Common questions
What is SAE 100R14 hose?
SAE 100R14 is the SAE specification for hose with a PTFE inner tube and a single stainless steel wire braid. It sets the dimensions, working pressure, burst pressure and bend radius for each dash size. Our smooth bore hose is built to SAE 100R14 Type A.
What is the difference between Type A and Type B?
Type A has a standard, non-conductive PTFE inner tube. Type B has the same construction with an electrically conductive inner surface, so static charge can drain away. Use Type B for fuels, solvents and other fluids that can build up static. We make both, and our engineers can help you choose.
Can you supply EN 10204 3.1 certificates?
Yes. EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates are available with shipments on request. Please mention it in your enquiry so the certificates travel with the goods.
Which end fittings do you offer?
End fittings are available in SS304, SS316 and carbon steel, with BSP, NPT, metric and DIN flanged connections. Send us your drawing or part number and we will confirm the right fitting.
