05 Common questions

About the fep tube.

What makes FEP different from PTFE?
FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) has near-optical transparency — allowing visual flow confirmation without disconnecting any lines. It is also more flexible than PTFE at room temperature and is melt-processable. Chemical resistance is equal to PTFE.
What temperature range does FEP handle?
FEP is rated −200°C to +200°C continuous, slightly lower than PTFE and PFA (260°C). For applications below 200°C where transparency is needed, FEP is the preferred choice.
Is FEP UV resistant?
Yes. FEP has excellent UV resistance and is suitable for outdoor applications — chemical lines, instrument air tubing, and process monitoring lines exposed to sunlight.
Is FEP food and pharma safe?
Yes. FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 compliant and USP Class VI rated. Suitable for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and medical device applications where transparency and chemical purity are required.
